If you thought superbikes couldn’t get any more exotic, Ducati India just raised the bar—and the price tag. The Italian marque has officially launched the Panigale V4 Tricolore in India, a motorcycle that is as much a piece of art as it is a track monster.
Priced at a staggering Rs 77,00,000 (ex-showroom), it isn’t just a bike; it’s one of the most exclusive collector’s items on two wheels today.
A Limited Edition Tribute
This isn’t your “standard” Panigale. Ducati is producing only 1,000 numbered units globally, and only a handful of these have been allocated for the Indian market.
The “Tricolore” name carries massive weight in Ducati’s history. This specific edition celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1984 Ducati 750 F1. The asymmetric red, white, and green livery was designed by the legendary Aldo Drudi (the man behind Valentino Rossi’s helmets) in collaboration with Ducati’s own design center.

Beyond the stunning paint job, the Tricolore is packed with hardware usually reserved for MotoGP and WorldSBK paddocks:

- A World-First Braking System: It’s the first production bike to feature Front Brake Pro, utilizing massive 338.5 mm Brembo T-Drive finned discs paired with Hypure calipers. This is the same setup Ducati’s factory riders tested during the 2024 Race of Champions.
- Performance Stats: Powered by the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, it pumps out 216 hp and 120.9 Nm of torque.
- Weight Loss: Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight components, it weighs just 188 kg (wet, without fuel)—about 3 kg lighter than the already featherweight Panigale V4 S.
The “Collector” Experience
When you spend 77 lakhs on a motorcycle, you get more than just the keys. Each bike features a machined aluminum steering plate engraved with its unique serial number. Owners also receive:
- A Certificate of Authenticity.
- A dedicated motorcycle cover and a special presentation box.
- A limited-edition jacket styled specifically to match the bike’s Tricolore livery.
