Yamaha Sales Dec 2025: Newly Launched XSR Series Becomes Top Seller

India Yamaha Motor ended 2025 on a high note, recording a massive 49.3% year-on-year (YoY) growth in December. The star of the month was the newly introduced retro-styled XSR range, which immediately climbed to the top of the sales charts, overtaking long-standing favorites like the RayZR and FZ series.

Key Sales Highlights:

  • Total Sales: Yamaha sold 54,914 units in the domestic market in December 2025, compared to 36,780 units in December 2024.
  • The XSR Phenomenon: Just two months after its launch, the XSR 155 (and its range) became Yamaha’s best-selling model with 14,951 units sold. Its retro-modern appeal has clearly resonated with Indian buyers.
  • Scooter Segment: The RayZR 125 remains a powerhouse with 14,153 units (up 17.9% YoY), while the Fascino 125 saw a slight dip, recording 4,630 units.
  • Performance Motorcycles: * The FZ Series showed strong momentum with 10,291 units (up 20.3% YoY).
    • The legendary R15 continues to grow, posting 5,453 units (up 27.7% YoY).
    • The MT-15 saw a decline of 15.7% YoY, ending the month with 4,403 units.
  • Premium Niche: The R3 and MT-03 remained exclusive, with only a handful of units sold.
