Honda Cars India has raised the prices of its popular mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate.
π How Much Are the Prices Up by?
The amount of the increase varies by variant:
- Base SV variant: Now about βΉ11.60 lakh, the biggest jump in the range.
- V variant: Prices rose by around βΉ9,990 for both manual and CVT automatic versions.
- VX variant: Up by about βΉ13,590 for both manual and automatic.
- ZX and ZX Black variants: Each saw increases of about βΉ9,990.
After the revision, top-end Elevate models like the ZX CVT Black can cost about βΉ16.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

π‘ Why Did Honda Raise Prices?
According to Honda, the price hike is mainly due to continuing inflation in input and production costs β things like raw materials, logistics, and manufacturing expenses have been rising. The company had absorbed many of these costs for a while to protect buyers from frequent increases, but eventually decided a price adjustment was necessary.
π GST Cut Gains Partially Reversed
Interestingly, this price increase nearly undoes the benefits customers saw from a GST rate reduction in September 2025 that had lowered the Elevateβs price by up to about βΉ58,000 depending on the variant.

π But There Are Still Discounts Available
Even though prices went up, Honda is offering attractive discounts and benefits across the Elevate range in January 2026 β sometimes up to βΉ1.76 lakh (including cash discounts, exchange bonuses, etc.) through dealers. This means that many buyers could still end up paying little more (or even less) overall, depending on the offers they use.
π What This Means for Buyers
- Entry-level buyers aiming for the SV trim now have to pay significantly more than before β nearly βΉ60,000 extra β which might make them think twice.
- Higher-end trims saw smaller increases, so their relative value remains similar.
- With competitors frequently offering discounts and many SUVs in the same price range available, buyers have more negotiating power if they shop smartly.

π Where the Elevate Stands
The Honda Elevate continues to be a key SUV for Honda in India, powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual and CVT automatic options, and competing with rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Tata Sierra/Curvv, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq in the mid-size SUV segment.
